I was lucky enough to finally see Voivod in Omaha Saturday after listening to them for 27 years. Made the 4.5 hr trip across Iowa with my son to see old friends and one of my old favorites from the metal years. Didn’t know what to expect with Piggy and Blacky being gone, but the new kids didn’t disappoint.
I was overwhelmed with what a kickass performance the whole band delivered. Away’s drum sound was ominous, Snake’s vocals were spot on with excellent showmanship, Chewie and Rocky were shredding… Top notch performance. The band was having as much fun playing as we were enjoying it.
    Thanks for an awesome performance!
