Voivod Celebrates 35 Years!!
35 years ago, on January 7th 1983, Snake walked into our jamspace and did a strange punk metal rendition of The Ripper from Judas Priest. We were immediately convinced that the line-up was complete at last.
I can’t believe that today Voivod are still touring and recording albums!
Speaking of the new album, I finished recording my drums, Chewy and Rocky are almost done and Snake is almost halfway thru.
The album is being recorded at Francis Perron’s studio RadicArt in Notre-Dame-du-Mont-Carmel, Quebec
I can testify that it is the most eclectic music I’ve been part of so far…Smile
Thanks ALOT for your support over the years.
Peace in 2018 everybody!
Michel
For those who didn’t know, VOIVOD started recording a new album in November 2017, slated for an early 2018 release.
VOIVOD drummer Michel “Away” Langevin told the Impact metal channel that the band’s next record would be “a concept album, very intricate. It’s very progressive thrash. Lots of psychedelia as well. The songs are pretty long. There is only one short rocker; all the rest is progressive music. It’s a continuation of [2016’s] ‘Post Society’ [EP].”

Voivod’s t-shirts and long sleeve everyday!
I want to write a bit about merchandise like t-shirts and long sleeve. I am 45 and connected since 1989. My two the last your gigs I was in 2016 in Denmark and 2017 in Czech Republic. Fan’s average age is about 30-35 and maybe a bit more years. I have idea about ,,everyday” clothes for fans. Voivod has fantastic logos (big respect for great work for Away) so maybe more t-shirts and long sleeves only with logo. fx black with white or red logo. Also gray with black logo will look really good. Clothes with skull look also very good but on gig. Whén I go to work or shopping with my wife a bit less… In my opinion is very important that your fans wear Voivod clothes. It is very good publicity.
Thank you so much for fantastic music and see you on gig (probably Hamburg, Germany)
Piotr

With love your fan forever.
